This opportunity is for a critical role serving as the first point of contact for patients at the Health Center at Bath facility. The Medical Assistant role combines front-line administrative responsibilities with essential clinical support to optimize patient care delivery and enhance the overall patient experience. The position demands a versatile individual who can efficiently coordinate activities such as patient check-in/check-out, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and electronic medical records management, all while maintaining exemplary customer service and communication standards. This role supports physicians and clinical staff by assisting in clinical duties including measurement and collection of vital signs, preparation and maintenance of exam rooms, specimen collection, and administering medications and vaccinations per provider orders within the scope of practice.
The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with providers, clinical teams, and administrative staff to streamline workflows and sustain a seamless care process. Additionally, they play a fundamental role in identifying patient risks, communicating relevant information, and ensuring patient follow-up to promote continuity of care. LVHN offers a professional setting characterized by efficiency, empathy, and comprehensive healthcare knowledge. The work shift for this position is varied, encompassing Sunday through Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm with rotating holidays and weekend schedules.                 - Specialized diploma as a Medical Assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course
 - Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
 - Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel
 - Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining efficiency, in a fast-paced healthcare environment
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism

 - BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association within 30 days
