The Security Officer is responsible for enforcing all policies and ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the casino facility while delivering outstanding guest service throughout the property. This position is crucial as it upholds the company’s standards for safety and regulatory compliance in a high-traffic entertainment environment. The role involves strategic posting at the casino’s entrances to monitor guests, checking identifications in accordance with Rhode Island state law, and staffing critical areas such as the Security Dispatch Center, the Card and Destruction Room, and the Badging Office. The position requires vigilance and attentiveness to oversee surveillance systems, coordinate responses to incidents through communication with various departments including fire, EMS, and police, and maintain detailed records through a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system. In addition to these core security duties, the Security Officer assists guests by providing information or directing them appropriately, patrols various areas including parking lots, valet zones, and campus exteriors, and reports unsafe conditions promptly to ensure the well-being of all patrons and employees. While the position does not authorize the officer to act as law enforcement or assist in arrests, it plays an indispensable role in maintaining a secure environment. Candidates for this position should be comfortable working overnight shifts, have basic proficiency in English, and preferably have customer service experience. The role also requires specific licenses including a Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations Gaming License, Serve Safe Certification, and a Rhode Island Driver Operator License.
