The Chef role is a key position within our new restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the back of house operations, including managing kitchen staff, designing the menu, and ensuring the smooth running of food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate is a creative culinary professional with experience in developing both a base menu and specials menu that cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences. In addition to cooking, the Chef will oversee kitchen operations to guarantee adherence to sanitation policies, food production codes, and ensure all equipment and utensils are meticulously maintained.
This role requires strong leadership skills, as the Chef will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing back of house staff, fostering a team-oriented environment that collaborates seamlessly with front of house personnel. The ability to work well in a fast-paced setting is crucial, as is having a detailed understanding of kitchen safety and operational efficiency.
