Charlotte Christian School, located at 7301 Sardis Road in Charlotte, North Carolina, is currently seeking a dedicated full-time Chef to join its vibrant team. The pay range for this position is competitive, offering between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour.

The Chef role at Charlotte Christian School is a critical leadership position requiring an individual who will direct, coordinate, and evaluate kitchen activities and supervise food production and service associates. This position is responsible for ensuring food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are rigorously maintained. The Chef will manage a team of hourly kitchen associates by overseeing interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, conducting performance reviews, and recommending disciplinary actions when necessary. The role involves hands-on preparation of high-quality food items, ensuring that standardized recipes are followed, and production, delivery, and service schedules are met efficiently.
Attention to detail is paramount, as the Chef ensures proper food presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures. Inventory management, including tracking food use, waste, and product requisition, as well as receiving and inspecting supplies for quality, are also key responsibilities. Maintaining sanitation of equipment, supplies, and workstations is essential to comply with safety and health regulations. Additionally, the Chef will contribute to the culinary program by helping select and develop recipes and menus, enhancing both variety and nutritional value.
