This part-time Critical Care Transport Emergency Medical Technician (CCT EMT) position offers an exciting opportunity to work with Children's Hospital at either the Centennial Airport location or in Colorado Springs. The role involves responding to both emergency and non-emergency transport requests and providing exceptional medical care and patient service to individuals ranging from newborns to young adults up to 22 years old. With a starting hourly wage of $19.00, and compensation credit given for prior experience, this role is especially suited for EMTs dedicated to making a difference in pediatric and young adult critical care transport. The CCT EMT is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the critical care ground ambulance, including fueling, oxygen supply management, air systems, and routine scheduled maintenance. Additionally, the EMT assists the flight and ground crew with patient care, including loading and unloading patients safely into ambulances, fixed-wing aircraft, or helicopters. This position is vital in ensuring that all transport equipment and vehicles are cleaned, restocked, and operationally ready at all times. Moreover, the CCT EMT participates in regular staff meetings, public relations presentations to promote awareness about the program, and teamwork initiatives to help meet the program’s goals. The scope of duties also includes patient assessments delegated by flight medical personnel, assisting with vital sign checks, and supporting patient monitoring during transport.
