The role of Cashier/Food Service Worker at Olivet Community Schools involves part-time duties from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. This position is essential to supporting the smooth operation of the cafeteria and ensuring a positive dining experience for students and staff. The Cashier/Food Service Worker operates the Point of Sale (POS) system to manage transactions accurately and efficiently while assisting chefs with food preparation and maintaining cleanliness and organization of serving and cashier stations. This role requires a hands-on approach to various tasks such as preparing meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, setting up serving lines, and respecting food safety standards including temperature control and food rotation. The Cashier/Food Service Worker keeps the refrigerator stocked, inventories supplies, restocks pantry items, and cleans as necessary to maintain a sanitary and welcoming environment. Pay ranges from $14.25 to $14.50 per hour, with opportunities for internal employee referral bonuses.
