The role involves operating computerized cash registers, accurately processing sales transactions within the department, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, employees, and visitors. The cashier is responsible for reconciling cash and register documentation at the end of each shift, ensuring precise handling of currency, checks, and credit card payments in accordance with established policies and procedures. Starting pay begins at $15.59 per hour, with comprehensive benefits available to employees, effective from day one with no waiting periods.\n\nThe Cashier position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the department by managing cash flow and inventory with accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities include greeting customers with courtesy, organizing the cashier area by preparing necessary supplies such as currency bags and register tapes, managing inventory to reduce waste and optimize turnover, and adhering strictly to Health System policies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to perform multiple tasks effectively under pressure, and a high level of attention to detail.
