As a Leasing Community Intern, the individual will play a critical role in delivering top-tier customer service to prospective and current residents. The intern will manage a range of responsibilities from front desk administrative duties to executing leasing strategies that support 100% occupancy goals. This entails collaborating closely with team members and actively participating in comprehensive leasing training programs, known as the Cardinal Way of Leasing, to ensure excellence in client interactions and lease processing. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to represent the community positively through guided tours and timely follow-ups with prospective residents.
The intern will be responsible for greeting prospective clients warmly, answering leasing inquiries, understanding client needs and preferences, presenting apartment features persuasively, closing lease agreements, and completing accurate lease documentation in accordance with company policies. The position also involves maintaining clean and welcoming community areas to create positive first impressions and assisting in planning community events. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires availability for evening and weekend work and participation in on-call duties such as lockouts and nightly property rounds.
Ideal candidates will be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, have completed at least one year of study, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. The position calls for individuals who embody core company values, possess a valid driver’s license, and can lift up to 40 pounds. Living within the designated community floor may be required as per community guidelines, reinforcing the intern’s role as an approachable and available team member.  - Must live on designated community floor as assigned by Community Manager
 - Able to lift up to 40 pounds

 - Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week
