The current opportunity is part-time with 20 hours per week in the Food and Nutrition department at the AMC Mount Pleasant location. This position is designed to offer flexible scheduling with shifts varying between early morning and evening hours from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, including rotating holidays and weekends. The pay rate ranges from $18.50 to $27.75 per hour, reflecting considerations for qualifications, experience, and training.
This role involves serving as a frontline customer service provider specializing in the sale and preparation of baked goods, specialty beverages, and other food items, incorporating rigorous adherence to safety and quality standards typical of a healthcare food service environment. The position requires a professional who excels in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere by delivering legendary customer service, responding quickly to customer needs, and maintaining facility and product standards especially related to food safety and sanitation. The employee will be responsible for operating espresso machines and other food preparation equipment, maintaining cleanliness and operational standards, and assisting in training peers to ensure service consistency.
In addition to customer interaction and food handling, this role necessitates accurate transaction processing through POS systems, cash handling with strict compliance to policies, inventory management, temperature monitoring for food safety, and upholding Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards to prevent foodborne illness. The candidate will work in a dynamic and physical environment involving long periods of standing, equipment handling, and exposure to kitchen hazards.
