The role offered is a vital support position within the service team at one of SA Hospitality Group's dining venues. This Assistant Server position is responsible for assisting servers in providing quality service to all guests while ensuring that the dining experience runs smoothly and efficiently. The duties involve managing table setups with the appropriate mis en place items such as ketchup, salt, pepper, HP sauce, and sugar bowls, and preparing the dining area with candles and neatly organized place settings before service begins. The role requires maintaining fully stocked stations throughout service and delivering bread and water to tables in assigned sections, as well as supporting other sections when necessary. Additionally, maintaining the organization of the bread warmer and clearing tables between courses and seating new guests are crucial responsibilities. The Assistant Server will also be expected to complete assigned side work before and after service shifts, as detailed in specific side work sheets, ensuring that all areas are clean, stocked, and prepared for the next service period. This position supports the management team as needed, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism. It demands excellent communication skills, particularly in English, to ensure workplace safety and effective collaboration with co-workers, managers, and guests. The ability to multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail is emphasized. Physical stamina is an important aspect of this role, as candidates must be capable of being on their feet for extended periods, moving quickly around the club, and handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds and occasionally kneeling, bending, or crouching.
