The Bar Staff role is an essential part of this dynamic team. Individuals in this position engage guests in a warm and friendly manner, aiming to cultivate lasting relationships and encourage repeat business. Responsibilities include suggestive selling of both beverages and menu items, prioritizing and organizing drink orders, and consistently preparing beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications. The role demands adherence to responsible alcohol service policies, including recognition of intoxication signs and refusal of service when necessary, all while maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Bar Staff is also tasked with managing financial transactions accurately, maintaining the bartender bank, and performing cash pull and check-out procedures. Occasional involvement in special events is required, reflecting the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the environment. Candidates must have a State or County License or Certification in Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training or an equivalent certification, demonstrating a commitment to safe alcohol service. Physical demands include the ability to pass a pour test and mixology drill under timed conditions, and the capacity to lift or move up to 25 pounds using proper techniques. Experience in cash handling and interpersonal communication skills are critical for success. Preferred candidates bring four years of experience in high-volume environments, with familiarity in recognizing valid identification and prior experience in a live music setting providing an added advantage. This position is hourly with an estimated compensation range between $12.62 and $16.60 USD, conditioned by factors such as geographic market, skills, experience, and qualifications.
