As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in the bar area in a courteous, friendly, and timely manner. Your duties will include adhering strictly to state, federal, and corporate liquor laws, ensuring responsible service to minors and intoxicated guests alike. Setting up and stocking the bar with beer, wine, spirits, paper products, garnishes, glassware, ice, and produce will be part of your daily routine. Maintaining quality standards for all perishables such as fresh fruit and juices is essential to the role. Guest interaction is a key aspect of the position; you will greet customers warmly, process drink orders as per standard recipes, garnish drinks attractively, and exercise prudent portion control to optimize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Cash handling responsibilities include receiving payment, making change, validating charges, and recording transactions accurately. At closing, you will secure all beverage products, food items, equipment, cash deposits, and ensure the bank is locked properly. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace aligns with health and safety standards, alongside arranging bottles and glassware to create an appealing bar display. Regular cleaning, including washing and sterilizing stemware, supports hygiene and presentation standards. The role may also involve additional duties as assigned to support overall venue operations.
