The Bartender position at the Diamond Room in San Diego, California, is an exciting opportunity to join this award-winning team. This role is full-time or part-time and involves serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The position is tipped, with an hourly minimum wage of $17.25, exclusive of any additional tipped earnings. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of craft cocktails, fine wines, and premium spirits with precision and artistry, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and participating in menu development and seasonal cocktail program updates. Additionally, the role requires accurate cash handling, POS system operation, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with all state and local alcohol service regulations. The ideal candidate must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of two years’ bartending experience in fine dining, luxury hotel, or upscale cocktail bar environments. Advanced knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wine, and cocktail construction is essential, and a mixology or sommelier certification is preferred. The position demands physical stamina, including constant standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift stock weighing up to 35 pounds.
