The Barista position at Metz Culinary Management in Fort Meade, MD, offers an exciting role within a fast-paced government dining environment. This role requires applicants to operate in a hospitality-driven, multi-dining outlet setting where they will prepare and present a variety of beverages such as coffee and tea, along with paired food items like pastries and sandwiches. The Barista will employ expert customer service skills and manage beverage machinery including espresso machines. Additionally, the Barista will take orders, enter transactions in a point-of-sale system, maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, and oversee inventory management. The position provides a vibrant and creative workplace where employees can enjoy a healthy work-life balance with a Monday through Friday daylight schedule and 11 paid federal holidays annually. Due to the government setting, the role has specific mandatory requirements including possession of a Real ID or current U.S. Passport, eligibility for a security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and reliable transportation as public transit is not available.
