The Barista Associate role at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center is an integral part of the Food Services team, contributing to the overall patient and visitor experience through quality beverage service and hospitality. This position involves handling daily operations of a small coffee shop within the medical center, encompassing responsibilities such as drink preparation, cashiering, food service, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The barista serves as a friendly and approachable representative of INTEGRIS Health, ensuring all visitors and patients receive exceptional service that aligns with the hospital's high standards. The role requires adherence to National Patient Safety Goals, reflecting the facility's commitment to safety in all aspects of operation, including food and beverage services. Working closely with the Food Service Operations Manager and Team Lead, the Barista Associate helps maintain efficient and hygienic practices that enhance the overall atmosphere of the medical center’s café area. This position not only requires excellent customer service skills but also an understanding of food safety protocols, cash handling procedures, and the ability to operate beverage equipment effectively. • high school diploma or equivalent
• minimum 1 year customer service experience
• at least 6 months barista experience
• ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to handle cash transactions accurately
