The Barback role at Sonesta is an essential position within the food and beverage team, responsible for supporting all service outlets such as jazz playhouse, service bar, LeBooze, and the pool area. This role involves the preparation and delivery of set-up materials including ice, glasses, coffee, and other necessary items. A critical aspect of the position is to ensure that all beverage outlets operate smoothly by maintaining cleanliness, organizing supplies, and promptly replenishing items as required. The Barback works closely with bartenders and service staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences by anticipating service needs and responding quickly to requests. The role also involves operating glass washing machines and maintaining the glass room to ensure all vessels are clean and ready for use. In addition to the operational responsibilities, the Barback is expected to embody Sonesta's guest service philosophy, which includes greeting guests warmly, recognizing frequent guests by name, anticipating needs before they arise, resolving concerns with care, and expressing gratitude to every guest. Flexibility is important in this position, as the Barback may be called upon to assist in various other areas of the hotel to support overall operations.
