The Banquet Captain role at Oak View Group is a key position integral to the success and flawless execution of banquet functions, ensuring an outstanding guest experience. The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing and coordinating every aspect of banquet events, from pre-event preparations to the conclusion of service, guaranteeing that all details align with client expectations and Oak View Group's standards. Duties include conducting pre-banquet meetings with staff to assign roles, review banquet event orders, and confirm food and service arrangements with chefs and event coordinators. The role demands meticulous attention to detail in managing inventory, including china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other event necessities, ensuring availability and appropriate setup. During events, the Banquet Captain also monitors food quality, temperature, and presentation through random audits to maintain the highest service levels and identify opportunities for upselling.
