This role involves supporting kitchen management by identifying issues, maintaining cleanliness and product standards, and assisting in training all kitchen staff according to Water Street’s training manuals. Employees in this role must consistently meet or exceed health department inspection scores of 90% or better and achieve similar ratings on mystery shopper reports. Compliance with dress code requirements, including wearing the chef shirt, black or approved chef pants, apron, hair coverings, and non-skid shoes, is mandatory. Food safety certifications such as a Nueces County Food Handler's Permit are required and must be maintained at all times.
