The role of Material Handler at STS Packaging is a pivotal position reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor. The Material Handler’s primary responsibility includes inspecting all production cases to ensure they meet quality standards and are ready for shipment with proper labeling and sealing. This role involves meticulous attention to detail in the final quality inspection of packaging, ensuring all products are stacked, stretch wrapped according to product specifications, and properly staged for warehouse movement. The position requires operation of powered industrial trucks (PIT), stretch wrap machines, and label printers, making equipment proficiency essential. Operators must adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The Material Handler contributes significantly to maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient staging area and performs various housekeeping duties to ensure the working environment aligns with health and sanitation audits.
This role demands a hands-on approach where flexibility and the ability to support other material handling personnel during breaks are crucial.
