The Lexington aviation team understands the complex, integrated nature of airport systems — from runways and roadways to electrical systems and facility management. Their expertise ensures these critical components operate seamlessly to support safe, efficient, and accessible air travel. The Civil Engineer role at Garver’s Lexington office is a key position responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of aviation-related projects. This includes designing and overseeing improvements to runways, taxiways, aprons, airfield grading, drainage systems, hangars, fuel farms, parking areas, terminal buildings, and other airport infrastructure. The Civil Engineer will work closely with multi-discipline design teams and collaborate with clients and funding agencies to deliver outstanding service. This position requires proficiency in producing design phase deliverables such as drawings, technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents using software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Garver seeks candidates who are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. The successful applicant will have at least two years of related civil engineering experience, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities. They must also have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. Occasional travel is expected, approximately 10 percent of the time, with some overnight stays.
