The role of Airport Services Duty Supervisor in Dallas, USA, is an integral part of the Airport Operations team focused on maintaining high standards in flight-handling activities. This supervisory position requires overseeing key functions such as flight editing, check-in, passenger transfers, and boarding processes, ensuring service standards are consistently met. The Airport Services Duty Supervisor works closely with Ground Handling Agents (GHA), catering services, fuel, maintenance, cargo, and crew departments to coordinate ramp handling activities, expedite departures, and guarantee on-time performance for flights. One of the primary responsibilities is to act as a station coordinator, liaising between various airport departments to meet and exceed performance targets. The supervisor also plays a pivotal role in managing resource allocation for customer service agents, optimizing manpower efficiency. A core responsibility involves managing flight disruptions, delays, denied boarding situations, and passenger misconnections, with a focus on providing exceptional passenger support throughout any operational disturbances. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to deputize in the absence of higher airport services officers. The supervisor must stay vigilant in reviewing aircraft allocations based on movement signals, late arrivals, and load requirements, ensuring all departments receive necessary operational information promptly. Candidates for this position must have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, fluency in English (both written and spoken), and strong customer service training, including familiarity with passenger services, baggage handling systems, and ground operations management. Proficiency in Amadeus reservations and ticketing systems and a deep understanding of dangerous goods regulations and weight and balance concepts are essential. High computer literacy and a minimum of five years’ job-related experience are required. The candidate must have legal permission to live and work in the U.S. and must reside in or be willing to relocate to Dallas.
