The Aircraft Detailing Operations Manager role at Immaculate Flight is a full-time position based at the San Jose Mineta International Airport with flexible shifts throughout the week. The salary range is competitive between $85,000 and $95,000 per year, supplemented by a profit-sharing plan. This role entails overseeing the daily operations of the detailing location and ensuring all aircraft meet or exceed Immaculate Flight's stringent standards. The manager will be instrumental in coordinating with the Director of Operations, VP of Operations, Regional Manager, and the Sales team to ensure the smooth execution of detailing services while adhering to safety and quality control protocols.
Key responsibilities include managing quality assurance, monitoring and improving operational efficiency, and managing the maintenance of fleet and equipment. The manager is in charge of scheduling, purchase orders, inventory control, and monthly audits to maintain optimal operational performance. A proactive approach toward safety audits and handling administrative duties such as timesheet approvals, badging access, and staffing needs is essential. Workforce development is a critical component of the role, where the Operations Manager supports and trains supervisors and detailers, oversees onboarding and continuous training programs, and regularly communicates with various teams to monitor progress and address performance issues as necessary.
Financial responsibilities include partnering with the Regional Manager to align supply and demand, manage payroll activities, and analyze financial metrics such as cost per job and P&L statements to drive improvements. The role also involves limited travel among Immaculate Flight's Bay Area locations, requiring the use of a company vehicle.
Physical demands of the job are considerable, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds, extended periods of standing and walking, working at heights, exposure to noise, chemicals, and weather conditions, and performing repetitive movements. Candidates must have a high level of interpersonal communication skills, be able to prioritize multiple projects, and possess leadership qualities to manage a remote workforce effectively.
Immaculate Flight offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees starting the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance coverage of $25,000 at no cost, short and long-term disability insurance, paid time off from day one, paid sick leave compliant with state law, and a company-matched 401K plan after one year of employment.
