The Air Battle Manager (ABM) SME position at CACI is an essential role that supports the United States Air Force's air combat and command and control operations. The ABM serves as a critical expert in directing airborne assets and coordinating with ground and sea forces to achieve mission objectives effectively. This role requires individuals who excel in situational awareness, rapid decision-making, and operating under high-stress conditions often present in combat scenarios. By leveraging advanced command and control systems, the ABM ensures seamless execution of complex air battle plans, real-time battlefield adaptation, and continuous mission monitoring and evaluation.
As a subject matter expert within CACI's Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence (C3I) team, the ABM SME contributes to developing innovative air battle management capabilities, identifying gaps in current systems, and planning experiments to refine operational effectiveness. The role involves deep engagement with doctrinal expertise across all C3I warfighting functions and collaboration with military leadership to brief and debrief mission outcomes. Given the sensitive nature of the work, the position requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, along with a willingness to travel within the continental United States up to 25 percent of the time.
