As a Cook, you will engage in preparing a diverse array of foods using established recipes and production guidelines, utilizing fresh ingredients and advanced kitchen equipment. In this role, you will prepare ingredients precisely by measuring, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling, while safely handling utensils and operating kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, and mixers. You will be responsible for cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming a variety of meats, vegetables, and other foods. Additionally, food presentation skills will be essential for arranging, garnishing, and portioning meals according to guidelines. Ensuring food safety through proper storage, cleaning, and sanitation practices is a key responsibility. You will also maintain excellent customer service and interact positively with guests, clients, and coworkers, embodying Aramark's values. The Cook position requires prior experience in a similar role and a foundational understanding of food preparation principles, food safety regulations, and sanitation protocols. Candidates must be able to acquire food safety certification and demonstrate basic math, counting, and communication skills.
