The Doswell School of Aeronautical Sciences is currently seeking two Aviation Science (AVS) Adjunct instructors to teach part-time courses (0.25 Full-Time Equivalent per semester). These adjunct positions offer competitive pay ranging from $4,000 to $5,000 per course, commensurate with experience and certification credentials. The roles involve teaching 3 Semester Credit Hour (SCH) classes in different areas of aviation instruction. Candidates with a bachelor's degree are required to apply, with preference given to instructors holding FAA certifications such as Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFII), Ground Instructor (GI), Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI), and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP). The available adjunct positions accommodate a variety of backgrounds including those with up to 10 years of flight experience, instructors with ATP and CFI/AGI certification, and those with ATP certification combined with Part 121/135 airline experience.
The adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that follows FAA regulations and university standards.
