The role of Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist at Sally Beauty is a specialized position focused on driving the color and curl haircare business segment. This position serves as the expert steward of all things related to hair color, curl, and texture, offering in-depth product knowledge, technical expertise, and personalized consulting services. The Color & Curl Concierge (CCC) / Colour & Curl Specialist (CCS) is tasked with maximizing sales, enhancing customer retention and loyalty, and building meaningful relationships with beauty salons, barbershops, spas, cosmetology schools, and licensed professionals. Beyond routine sales associate responsibilities, the CCC/CCS leverages market analysis to introduce new products and concepts and provide education both in-store and virtually. This role also involves significant talent development and utilization of business, social media, and selling skills to grow brand awareness and increase hair color and curl market share. Candidates appointed to this position will undergo comprehensive education and certification programs conducted online, ensuring they remain current with industry trends and can share their expert knowledge with associates and customers alike. • One year retail or other sales-focused experience
• Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
• Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market
• Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings a minimum of 3 times a year
• Strong business acumen and ability to read, interpret, and action on pertinent sales reporting
• Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS applications
• Comprehensive knowledge of computers, ipads, mobile devices and social media platforms
• Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
• May be required to work in other stores and in field at times
• Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, at all levels within and outside the organization
• Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position
