The Sports Youth Development Professional (YDP) role at BGCMCC is a part-time, non-exempt position offering between 20 and 25 hours per week with a competitive hourly pay of $18.00 to $20.00 depending on experience and educational background. Reporting to the Director of Sports and receiving direction from the Sports Program Assistant, the YDP will plan, implement, facilitate, and supervise sports-focused activities and events designed to meet the varying interests and needs of Club members, their families, and the surrounding community. The professional acts as a crucial champion of exciting and dynamic sports programs, including basketball and volleyball coaching, league assistance, clinics, and officiating recreational games. Beyond athletic training, this role seeks to create Safe, Supportive, and Culturally Responsive environments where youth can develop critical social-emotional skills. The YDP plays an essential part in maintaining the quality and safety of all sports programming at BGCMCC, collaborating with volunteers, staff, and families to foster engaging experiences that positively influence youth development outcomes. Responsibilities include guiding positive behavior, overseeing program setup and cleanup, maintaining accurate attendance and progress records, addressing behavioral challenges, ensuring equipment safety, and contributing to organizational goals through training and teamwork. This position requires a flexible schedule capable of accommodating evening, weekend, and holiday hours when necessary, reflecting the dynamic nature of youth sports programming.                 - Minimum of 18 years of age
 - High school diploma or GED required
 - Minimum of 1 year experience working directly with school aged youth and knowledge of youth development
 - Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
 - Pass criminal background check
 - Pass negative result tuberculosis test
 - Work cooperatively with others
 - Maintain regular and punctual attendance
 - Work overtime as assigned
 - Travel overnight as required
 - Ability to work in cold, hot, dusty, loud environment
