The General Manager role at Hellcat Subs is a critical leadership position designed to oversee the complete operations of the restaurant. This position is full-time and requires a dynamic individual with strong management skills who can effectively balance both the financial and human elements of the business. The General Manager will be responsible for steering the team towards excellence by ensuring that every shift runs smoothly, food quality is consistently high, and guests leave satisfied with their experience.
A key responsibility of the General Manager is to act as the financial backbone of the restaurant, focusing on maximizing profitability through cost control and efficient resource management. This includes maintaining inventory and supplies, controlling expenses, and ensuring all financial reporting is accurate and compliant with company policies. Beyond numbers, the General Manager serves as the face of the restaurant, modeling the Jersey Mikes standards and culture, motivating employees, and maintaining high food safety standards.
This role demands a hands-on leader who is not only capable of managing the day-to-day activities but can inspire and develop the team by promoting open communication and embracing the company’s mission. The General Manager is expected to work 45 or more hours per week and will have direct contact with the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and District Manager (DM), maintaining a smooth flow of communication.
