The Front Office Supervisor position at The Odessa Marriott Hotel & Conference Center is pivotal to the smooth daily operations of the hotel. This full-time role involves overseeing all activities related to the front desk, ensuring that guests receive friendly, efficient, and top-quality service from check-in to check-out. The role requires a highly organized and proactive individual capable of managing stressful situations with calmness and professionalism. The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for leading front desk associates, promoting teamwork across departments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and standards. This position also requires proficiency with hotel software systems and Microsoft Office applications to effectively monitor and coordinate front office operations. In this role, the supervisor sets the standard for guest relations, ensuring that every interaction is handled with warmth and professionalism. They handle guest inquiries, resolve disputes, manage VIP and special requests, and ensure timely communication of messages, packages, and mail. Additionally, they assist in training new staff and current associates, helping to maintain high productivity levels and adherence to operational procedures. The Front Office Supervisor works closely with management to support hotel credit policies, emergency procedures, and departmental planning. Candidates should have a minimum of two to three years of experience in the hotel industry or a related field, preferably with prior front desk experience. A high school diploma is preferred, and the ability to effectively convey information, evaluate options quickly, and work well under pressure is essential.
