The Banquet Bartender role at The Edgewater is an integral part of the banquet service team, focused on the preparation and serving of beverages to guests attending events. This position is designed for individuals who not only possess bartending skills but also have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Working within a professional restaurant and banquet environment, the Banquet Bartender adheres to the strict standards of The Edgewater's pursuit of excellence. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and courteous service, maintaining bar set-up and inventory, following state and federal alcohol service regulations, and working closely with Banquet Captains and other team members to guarantee seamless event execution.
This role requires flexibility including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, catering to the varied schedule of events hosted by The Edgewater. Attention to detail and the capability to multitask efficiently are essential, as bartenders must manage beverage stock, customer orders, glassware sanitation, and point-of-sale system input while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Additionally, the role demands physical stamina due to the active nature of the work and the requirement to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds. - Must be 21 years old
- prior bartending experience
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and public holidays
- must have excellent knowledge of liquors beers and wine
- ability to lift push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- ability to use moderately complex computer software
- ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
