The Assistant General Manager (AGM) role at Urban Air Waco is a key leadership position responsible for motivating the team and instilling accountability to drive business success while maintaining the company’s Culture of Activating Awesome. This full-time position requires a strategic mindset to lead operational standards and initiatives that positively impact overall business results. The AGM functions as a second-in-command who provides hands-on leadership, supervising staff, overseeing daily operations, and striving for exceptional customer service.
This role is ideal for a seasoned hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality guest experiences in fast-paced environments such as theme parks, family entertainment centers, hotels, or casinos. The AGM helps cultivate a team environment that consistently meets staffing needs and maximizes productivity and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include hiring, retaining, and coaching staff, developing work schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining the cleanliness and security of the park. The AGM also leads employee recognition programs and manages inventory and expense controls, working to improve operational execution in accordance with Urban Air’s standards.
The ideal candidate must have at least three years of supervisory or management experience, demonstrating a proven ability to develop team members and lead by example with professionalism, energy, and a positive attitude. Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is necessary. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, and the ability to pass a background check is mandatory. This role requires adaptability to changing conditions, strong communication skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The AGM must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, reflecting the operation’s schedule.
