The Vice President of Operations at Din Tai Fung is a senior leadership role based in a hybrid capacity at the Corporate Office in Arcadia, California. This position is crucial for driving operational excellence across all of Din Tai Fung’s restaurants and central kitchens in the U.S. It requires a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational oversight to elevate the guest experience, improve employee engagement, ensure financial success, and support scalable growth of the brand. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of successfully managing multi-unit restaurant operations, driving system scalability, and enhancing team performance in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
As a vital member of the executive team, the VP of Operations is responsible for setting the tone for excellence in execution, innovation, and culture. This role encompasses leadership over broad strategic initiatives that optimize service models, enhance food quality, leverage technology, and improve operational efficiency. The VP of Operations champions a workplace culture that is inclusive, empowering, and focused on delivering high performance, ensuring the welfare and development of team members.
Financial stewardship is a key part of the position, with responsibilities spanning revenue growth, cost management, and operational profitability. The VP will also ensure all locations adhere to the highest standards of regulatory compliance related to health, safety, labor, and food safety. In addition, the role includes protecting and advancing the Din Tai Fung brand reputation by ensuring consistent operational readiness and excellence during new restaurant openings, supporting seamless expansion efforts.
The VP of Operations is offered a competitive annual base salary range of $240,000 to $310,000 depending on experience and other factors, with eligibility for bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
