This role focuses on the position of Guest Service Coordinator within PMC's valet parking operations in Richmond, Virginia. The position is available as either full-time or part-time, offering hourly pay ranging from $7.25 to $10.00 plus daily cash tips, which can vary based on market conditions and service performance.
The Guest Service Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting valet operations by coordinating vehicle flow efficiently, delivering outstanding guest service, and assisting in staff management. This position reports directly to the Account Manager and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), making it eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 per workweek at time and a half.
Key responsibilities include assisting the Guest Service Manager in overseeing daily valet operations and ensuring staff performance aligns with PMC's high service standards. The coordinator addresses guest questions, resolves service issues promptly and professionally, and anticipates guest needs to enhance the overall experience. Maintaining team appearance and compliance with grooming and uniform standards is another essential function, along with monitoring attendance and adherence to work schedules.
The role further involves leading daily pre-shift meetings to communicate updates, foster teamwork, and maintain open lines of communication with city and account managers. Equipment management such as setting up and breaking down valet staging areas, along with ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, also falls under this position’s responsibilities. Oversight of tip handling, payroll review, and vehicle counts support accurate operational and financial administration.
Safety and risk management are critical components, requiring the coordinator to supervise valet operations to ensure secure key handling and vehicle management, submit incident reports as necessary, and maintain a safe environment for guests and employees alike.
