The role of Front Desk Attendant or Valet, offered on a PRN basis at Summa Health, provides crucial first contact for visitors and patients entering the healthcare system. This position ensures a welcoming and efficient parking service, relieving patients and visitors of the task of parking their own vehicles. Responsibilities include greeting customers courteously, safely parking vehicles, and providing assistance with mobility needs such as helping customers into wheelchairs and pushing them into the facility. The attendant must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as walking quickly for extended periods, bending, and lifting medium-weight items like overnight bags or packages. This role requires excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, patients, and team members, ensuring that every visitor is treated with dignity and respect. The ability to read, write, and comprehend English, as well as perform basic mathematical calculations, is essential. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid Ohio Driver's License, and meet Summa’s fleet insurance standards. Experience operating a manual transmission vehicle is preferred to handle the diverse range of vehicles safely. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.96 to $19.16 per hour, exclusive of bonuses or differentials. The final pay rate depends on relevant experience and geographic factors, with internal equity considerations as well.
