This part-time Supervisor, Retail Operations role located in Brooklyn, NY, is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a dispensary facility. The Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for qualified patients and caregivers, assisting them with the administration of approved medical and recreational marijuana products. They ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, including patient identification, registration, record keeping, product tracking, and inventory control using the company's inventory tracking software, BioTrackTHC. Key responsibilities include supervising dispensary staff, managing inventory including ordering and auditing, resolving inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts, and maintaining privacy policies and HIPAA compliance to protect patient information. The Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the facility operates within the guidelines of the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program, implementing quality assurance plans to prevent dispensing errors, and managing policies related to product retesting, storage, disposal, and adverse event reporting. In addition to operational duties, the Supervisor plays a vital role in developing a positive workplace culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance. They implement human resources policies, manage compliance to minimize risk, conduct investigations and respond to employee relation issues, and oversee talent acquisition, performance reviews, and employee training programs. Collaboration with IT partners to implement HR software systems and facilities management to maintain a productive work environment are also part of the role. Candidates should bring strong leadership, project management, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with a passion for managing all aspects of retail operations, including staffing, schedules, compliance, theft prevention, and product diversion. This role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance, and excellent verbal communication skills. The hourly pay range for this position is $24 to $26, with a schedule of part-time work on Fridays and Saturdays.
