At AGRICOLA, the role of the Host is fundamentally vital as it represents the first and last point of contact for our guests. This position is centered around creating an exemplary customer service experience from the moment a guest arrives until their departure. The Host warmly welcomes guests with genuine enthusiasm and conveys wait times clearly and courteously, enhancing guest comfort and satisfaction. Utilizing the Resy reservation system, the Host manages guest seating efficiently to optimize flow and reduce wait times. Beyond seating guests, the Host is responsible for taking drink orders, refilling beverages, and sometimes performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glassware and menus. Ensuring that restrooms are clean, stocked, and orderly is also within the duties of this role, helping to maintain the restaurant’s high standards of hygiene and guest care. This role is ideal for individuals who are upbeat, outgoing, and possess a positive attitude, as these qualities are essential for cultivating a friendly and welcoming environment. The Host must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively assist guests and work as an integral part of a high-paced team. The compensation package includes a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14 to $15, supplemented by tips that bring the total earning potential to between $20 and $25 per hour on average.
