This exciting opportunity is for a Global Trade Analyst based in Austin, TX, who will play a vital role in supporting the company's global trade operations in a compliant and consistent manner. The role focuses on ensuring accurate tariff classification by assigning and maintaining Harmonized System (HS), Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), and Country of Origin (COO) codes. The Global Trade Analyst will help guarantee that all trade and manufacturing activities adhere to relevant regulatory standards. The individual selected for this role will have the important responsibility of determining product classifications in line with the World Customs Organization's guidelines and binding rulings. They will apply export control regulations, such as the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), to classify products appropriately. Keeping product classifications up to date within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other supporting systems is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and accuracy. Your role as a Global Trade Analyst will also involve validating and supporting claims under trade programs including the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and other Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Conducting country of origin assessments using methodologies like substantial transformation, tariff shift, and regional value content (RVC) will ensure compliance with country-specific rules of origin. Collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Product Management, and Procurement will be essential for gathering necessary documentation and information for accurate trade classification. You will also determine licensing requirements for export-controlled goods and manage export license applications through the SNAP-R portal. This role requires overseeing internal audit processes related to accurate product classifications and import entries, responding promptly to inquiries from customs brokers, government agencies, and customers, and resolving import shipment issues efficiently. You will continuously evaluate and enhance trade compliance processes and stay current on trade classification changes to mitigate any potential impact to the company.   • Bachelor of Science or Business Administration in engineering or supply chain related field
