Highgate's robust portfolio features global properties valued at over $20 billion, generating more than $5 billion in cumulative revenues annually. The firm specializes in guiding hospitality properties through every stage of the lifecycle, including planning, development, recapitalization, and disposition. Leveraging creativity and advanced proprietary revenue management tools, Highgate strategically drives market responsiveness, performance enhancement, and maximizes asset value for its stakeholders. Supported by an executive team of seasoned hotel management professionals, Highgate is recognized as a trusted partner by top ownership groups and major hotel brands. The company maintains corporate offices in New York, London, Dallas, and Seattle. The Director of Sales & Marketing role at Highgate Hotels is a pivotal leadership position focused on steering the top-line revenue strategy for traditional sales segments, which encompass group bookings and volume transient sales. This full-time, yearly compensation role commands a high level of expertise to lead and motivate property sales teams dedicated to room-only revenue, ensuring that budgeted targets are achieved or exceeded. The Director is responsible for staying ahead of fluctuating market conditions by conducting ongoing competitive hotel analysis, assessing market share movement, and predicting emerging industry trends. The role requires the development and execution of comprehensive marketing communications plans that effectively position the hotel within its competitive environment. Additionally, managing the sales and marketing budget to support these initiatives is a critical duty of the Director. As a proactive sales leader, the Director also directly engages with a portion of the group market, acting as the hotel's voice of the customer and ensuring that feedback is communicated effectively throughout all organizational levels. The role demands proficiency in analyzing Smith Travel Research data, managing financial profit and loss accounts, forecasting, sales mix, group pace and positioning, alongside a suite of other traditional hotel reporting mechanisms. The Director actively solicits new and existing accounts through various methods including telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communications to meet or surpass revenue goals. The position collaborates cross-departmentally within the hotel to maintain exceptional customer service quality and fosters strong guest relations, promptly resolving complaints and enhancing overall guest satisfaction. The Director additionally represents the hotel at industry meetings, tradeshows, and community events, while continuously developing a strong understanding of local and economic market trends, competitors, and customers. This role demands a dynamic professional capable of blending sales leadership, marketing expertise, and operational insight to drive performance and sustain Highgate Hotels' reputation for excellence.
