This role centers on managing the Starbucks department within the store, where the successful candidate will ensure that coffee and food products meet the quality and presentation standards of the company. The position is responsible for assisting in leading the Starbucks team to drive sales, enhance customer service, and achieve overall departmental profitability. - High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales
- Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an espresso machine, coffee grinder, commercial ovens
- Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices
- Must report any potential hazards not immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Food Handler certification required
- Completion of Starbucks Barista Basics Training Program and any additional recommended Starbucks leadership training required
- Must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business
