The role of Flight Paramedic at REACH is a vital position that demands a high degree of skill, dedication, and professionalism. Flight Paramedics work alongside experienced air transport teams to provide advanced life support care from the initial contact at the scene through to the transition of care in the receiving hospital. This role requires a paramedic who is adept at handling a variety of emergency medical situations while maintaining a calm and methodical approach to patient care. Flight Paramedics at REACH are responsible for managing complex medical equipment and supplies and ensuring that comprehensive and accurate patient care records are completed and submitted in a timely manner. In addition to hands-on patient care, the Flight Paramedic participates in pre-mission briefings, safety checks, and assists pilots when necessary to enhance operational safety and mission efficiency.
The position is full-time and offers a competitive salary ranging from $86,000 to $125,000 depending on experience. - Minimum of three years experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- CPR certification including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification prior to flight status
- Ability to maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
- Ability to work full-time
- Must comply with safety and operational protocols
- Willingness to fill open or vacant shifts as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
