The Beverage Shift Manager role at Mount Airy Casino Resort is a pivotal leadership position within the beverage department. This position is responsible for overseeing all beverage operations during the assigned shift, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with the resort’s policies, procedures, and internal control standards. As a Beverage Shift Manager, you will lead a team of beverage staff including bartenders and supervisors, manage scheduling, inventory, payroll, and employee relations to streamline operations and enhance the guest experience. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining a smooth, organized beverage service, while upholding the highest standards for customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This full-time role requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to align with the resort’s 24-hour schedule. - must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must demonstrate leadership, fairness and sensibility to customers and employees
- must possess ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees
- must have excellent communication skills
- must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to public, employees and customers
- must have ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees
- must have ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- must be able to stand, walk, and move through all casino areas
- maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- obtain and maintain a Non-Gaming License as required by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board
- valid health or food handler card or alcohol awareness certification as required by local or state government
- must be able to stand or sit for long periods
- adequate manual dexterity including hand and wrist movement to operate office equipment and perform light lifting
- reading and writing abilities to assist in scheduling and inventory
- mathematical skill usage for basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances
- able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
- must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
