Child Protective Licensing Corporation (CPLC) is a dedicated nonprofit organization focusing on Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs that are committed to providing every child, regardless of their birth circumstances, with the necessary opportunities to succeed in school and throughout life. CPLC serves low-income children aged 0-3 and their families by delivering full-day, full-year early childhood development services within educationally-stimulating environments. This mission underlines the organization’s strong focus on fostering developmental growth, academic readiness, and overall well-being for young children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The services are designed to promote a well-rounded foundation which includes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth, ensuring children are well-prepared for the school years and beyond. The Teacher Assistant role at CPLC is vital in supporting the educational and developmental success of children aged 3-5 within the ECD program. The position functions as a collaborative partner with the lead Teacher to plan and implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom-learning environment focused on school readiness and lifelong success. Working within a center-based classroom setting, the Teacher Assistant helps facilitate high-quality care and education aligned with the requirements of federal and state regulations, including the revised Head Start Program Performance Standards and the Head Start Act. This role entails participating as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team that attends to each child's educational, health, social, and disability-related requirements. The Teacher Assistant assists in supporting children's development in all areas by maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, supervising children constantly, facilitating health and safety practices both indoors and outdoors, including during school bus transportation. The position requires adherence to rigorous health and safety protocols to optimize the learning atmosphere, actively ensuring that all children are supervised by sight and sound at all times. This role requires a strong commitment to nurturing early childhood development, compassion towards children and families, and the ability to work alongside a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
