The role of a Shift Tasker at DHL Supply Chain is crucial in supporting warehouse operations. This position primarily focuses on expediting transactions through the warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure smooth and timely processing of orders. The Shift Tasker acts as a key liaison between customers, carriers, and warehouse associates by providing information, resolving issues, and facilitating communication to maintain operational flow.
The Shift Tasker may work across various functions including outbound, inbound, or parcel operations. This position involves hands-on coordination and oversight of order processing activities such as planning, allocating, picking, manifesting, and closing daily waves of orders. The role requires proficiency in monitoring system screens and reports to manage workload and inventory effectively. It also involves collaboration with operations teams to address inventory discrepancies such as overages, shortages, and damages, ensuring accurate stock management.
Managing schedules for inbound carriers and outbound shipments is a vital responsibility, requiring updated communications and coordination to guarantee seamless physical and systematic transactions. Moreover, the Shift Tasker oversees parcel shipments at the shipping dock, interacts with carrier contacts, and liaises with IT teams to resolve any data transmission or system-related issues that may arise.
DHL Supply Chain offers full-time employment with a competitive hourly wage of $20.00 per hour for this role, including eligibility for an attendance bonus.
