The Supply Chain Export Coordinator at Mizuho OSI is a vital role responsible for managing and coordinating the export of goods in line with international trade regulations and company policies. This position ensures smooth operations from the booking phase through delivery by collaborating closely with internal teams, freight forwarders, carriers, and regulatory authorities. The role incorporates responsibilities such as SAP training and process development, supporting cycle count reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of international documentation, primarily focused on accurate commercial invoice generation.
This position supports the Sr. Manager of Inventory Control & Logistics or the Import-Export Manager and involves working with Global Supply Chain teams on regulatory compliance, including ITAR/EAR regulations and OFAC requirements. Additionally, the Supply Chain Export Coordinator plays an essential part in quality assurance and inspection activities to confirm product quality and compliance with international standards.
Key duties include inspecting inbound parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods for any defects or damages and verifying product identification through purchase orders and ERP records. The role requires precision and technical skill, utilizing measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify critical dimensions. Documentation and reporting are integral, with the necessity to maintain accurate records in ERP and SAP systems, manage sampling and acceptance following SOP plans, and ensure strict adherence to export compliance programs.
From a business perspective, the Supply Chain Export Coordinator is involved in coordinating exports to secure timely and accurate shipments, generating commercial invoices, supporting sales order management, and resolving issues related to shipments. The role demands working knowledge of domestic and international third-party logistics providers, customs brokers, and compliance with export laws and company policies. Additionally, the position supports ongoing training and process improvement within SAP systems to enhance operational performance.

This position is based in various customer locations in the San Diego area, offering an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $91,000, dependent on experience.                 - Bachelor's degree in business or related field
 - Minimum 5 years of related work experience
 - Bilingual in English and Spanish
 - Minimum 3 years applying import export regulations
 - At least 2 years in export trade and ITAR EAR compliance
 - Minimum 2 years in medical device or related industry
 - Experience with MS Office365
 - Preferably experienced with ERP systems such as SAP
 - Strong attention to detail
