As a Store Cashier at GICF, you will play a crucial role in directly supporting the retail operations by providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Your responsibilities will include operating cash registers, processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, greeting customers and donors with a friendly and professional demeanor, and assisting with maintaining an orderly store environment. The Store Cashier will also be tasked with following all store policies regarding cash handling, credit card transactions, voids, gift cards, and the Round Up program, which contributes to the mission of the nonprofit. • Must be 18 years of age or older
• high school education or equivalent preferred
• previous retail and/or cashiering experience highly preferred
• basic computer skills
• beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers
• ability to stand and walk for long periods
• able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 40 pounds
