The role of Dishwasher/Utility at Red Lobster offers an essential position within the restaurant team. This role centers around maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the restaurant to uphold health and safety standards and ensure that guests receive top-notch service. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining all restaurant areas, sanitizing dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils, and safely operating dishwashing equipment. The position also requires emptying trash from the kitchen and other areas, assisting cooks with prep work and food preparation such as making the restaurant's signature Cheddar Bay biscuits, and continually focusing on the team's and guests' experience. Maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols is imperative to the role. This physically demanding job requires the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand throughout an 8-to-12-hour shift, making physical stamina and endurance important. Teamwork and attention to detail are crucial, as is the ability to multitask within a dynamic kitchen environment. Culinary experience is preferred but not necessarily required, and candidates must meet the minimum age and work authorization requirements.
