This role is for a Stewarding team member who plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of key operational areas within the casino's kitchen, dining, and restroom facilities. The Stewarding position is essential to supporting the overall smooth function of the hospitality services by ensuring that all kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and dining environments meet strict hygiene standards. The steward must demonstrate a strong work ethic aligned with the company’s vision and mission, emphasizing dedication, reliability, and professionalism throughout every task.
Key responsibilities include comprehensive sanitation duties such as cleaning ovens, stoves, grills, hoods, steam tables, dishwashing machines, and more. This role requires physical stamina and flexibility, as it involves extended periods of standing, reaching, climbing, and stooping. The stewarding associate is also expected to manage the maintenance of cleaning equipment, handle chemical agents safely compliant with OSHA regulations, and maintain accurate inventories of cleaning supplies.
This position demands strict adherence to safety protocols, timely communication regarding any faulty or broken equipment, and proactive participation in team meetings to stay informed of new standards and schedules. Stewarding team members are expected to contribute positively to the workplace morale, provide courteous and professional communication, and support both internal teams and guests with a respectful and cooperative attitude. - Minimum of 1 year experience in stewarding and/or environmental services in a kitchen or restaurant style setting
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to communicate both oral and written English
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Ability to follow OSHA regulations when using cleaning chemicals
- Ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure
- Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to attend and participate in meetings
- Ability to perform physical demands such as standing, reaching, climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, balancing, kneeling, and lifting
