The role of the Wine Steward at Invited is both prestigious and pivotal in enhancing the overall dining experience for members and guests. The Wine Steward is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism in wine service and presentation while contributing to the seamless operation of the club’s dining services. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage/Beverage Director or Banquet/Restaurant Manager, the Wine Steward acts as a vital link between the culinary offerings and the guests' satisfaction. Daily duties include providing knowledgeable wine recommendations, maintaining an extensive understanding of the wine list, ensuring proper storage and presentation of wines, and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for club members and guests. Attention to detail is critical in this role, as it involves handling wine inventory, managing wine-related equipment, and assisting with setup for special events. The Wine Steward must demonstrate excellence in customer service, handle any wine-related concerns promptly, and maintain cleanliness and organization within their service area. Additionally, this role requires active participation in team briefings, adherence to club policies, and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development. Candidates for this role ideally possess sommelier certification or have completed coursework related to wine knowledge. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in food and beverage, particularly with wine service, is preferred. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, follow instructions, and collaborate with team members is essential for success in this position. Physical stamina is necessary, given the demands of standing for long periods, moving equipment, and navigating varying environments.   • Sommelier certification or coursework in wine knowledge
