Linthicum Heights, MD, USA, MD Full-Time $15 - $15
Our suburban hotel is strategically located just three miles from BWI Airport and directly across the street from Northrop Grumman. This prime location also offers easy access to popular attractions such as Arundel Mills shopping mall, Maryland Live Casino, M&T Bank Stadium, and the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Additionally, prestigious institutions like Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Medical Center are a short drive away, making our hotel an ideal accommodation choice for a variety of guests including business travelers, tourists, and visitors attending local events and conferences. As a part of a renowned company managing over 800 hotels worldwide, our establishment prides itself on fostering a team-oriented culture that emphasizes collaboration, support, and continuous improvement. We prioritize creating unforgettable experiences for our guests and believe in thinking collectively rather than individually. This philosophy is reinforced through daily Stand-up Meetings designed to celebrate wins, recognize employees, and discuss ways to enhance our service delivery. Our diverse workforce and people-first business approach ensure that employees feel valued and supported throughout their career journey with us. We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as House Attendants. The House Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of public areas within the hotel, helping to ensure that every guest enjoys a welcoming, safe, and sparkling environment. This role demands individuals who are physically capable and motivated to perform various cleaning tasks meticulously and who can also interact warmly with guests by providing prompt and friendly service. The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other public spaces. Duties include ensuring that all carpets, furniture, and equipment are spotless to create a positive impression on all guests. In addition to cleaning, the role requires assisting with the setup of meeting rooms and hotel events, contributing to a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. Strong guest service and communication skills are essential, as House Attendants often respond to guest requests and deliver items with a positive attitude. Teamwork is vital, as collaboration with housekeeping and other hotel staff supports smooth operations. Safety awareness is also critical; House Attendants are tasked with safeguarding sensitive areas, handling lost-and-found items responsibly, and practicing safe work habits to mitigate the risk of injuries. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with prior experience in a hotel or related service industry, which is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license for the applicable state with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. The ability to perform well under stressful and high-pressure situations is crucial for success in this role. Once hired into full-time positions and after an initial waiting period, employees become eligible for a competitive benefits package. Benefits include daily pay options, medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and participation in a 401k retirement plan. We offer extensive professional development opportunities, including management apprentice programs, leadership development, online training courses, and exclusive employee discounts at our hotels and affiliated programs. If you are seeking a supportive work environment where you can grow, succeed, and belong, we invite you to apply to join our outstanding team of dedicated hospitality professionals.
