The Dishwasher position plays an indispensable role in the back-of-house operations. This full-time role requires an individual dedicated to the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and food and beverage areas. The main responsibilities involve the thorough washing of dishes, utensils, glassware, silver, and kitchen equipment in adherence to rigorous sanitation standards and company procedures. Maintaining the inventory of dishwashing supplies as well as assisting with the management of china, glass, and silverware stock is also key in this role. The Dishwasher supports the kitchen staff by ensuring that all equipment necessary for food preparation and banquets is clean, sanitized, and ready for use at all times. This position demands physical stamina, including prolonged standing, frequent bending and lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The Dishwasher will collaborate closely with chefs and the kitchen team to coordinate dish and equipment needs, helping to ensure smooth and timely banquet operations and food service delivery. The role includes regular cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, sanitizing all kitchen surfaces to meet health and safety regulations, and waste management by removing trash from designated areas. Adaptability is crucial, as the Dishwasher may occasionally perform clerical tasks and operate in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and noisy environments.
